What a surprise!! We came out to two new additions to our facility today unexspectingly 
Rocco was our very first lemur at our facility, she was privately owned before finding her way to us. Many pull lemur babies and hand rear in order to build a bond with them while they are young, however in doing so this causes them to have less fear of humans, as they hit maturity they consider you part of their troop and will eventually attack you to gain dominance within the troop.
We are happy to say, she will raise her own young as long as no complications arise and they will be a great ambassador animal for our facility. You’ll be able to see the difference between human raised and lemur raised baby’s
